Deutsch Kerrigan LLP partner Duris L. Holmes spoke at the Network of Trial Law Firms’ 2018 ‘Litigation Management in a New York Minute’ on August 3.
The Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program, held at the City Bar Building in New York City, brought together attorneys from across the country to present on topics ranging from ethics and preparing for depositions to optimizing discovery and ways to combat implicit bias.
In his presentation, titled "ETHICS: Social Media in Litigation: Opening Pandora’s Box", Holmes discussed the ethical considerations of online investigations, the dangers of spoliation and recent rulings on virtual contact with judges, jurors, witnesses and adversaries.
Holmes has more than 25 years of experience as a business lawyer, representing clients in arbitration and litigation as well as handling transactional matters. He also represents clients in the matters of business organization, contracts, directors’ and officers’ liability, bankruptcy and intellectual property.
