Beginning in January, Doug Vaughn will serve as the secretary/treasurer for the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, which just observed 50 years of existence. He currently serves as one of two vice presidents. Traditionally, one of the vice presidents is asked to move into such role at the conclusion of a 2 year term. This position elevates after 1 year to president-elect and after 2 years to president. This puts him on track to serve as president of the association in 2018.
