Breach of Contract - Commercial Services
Mr. Kerrigan represented Sungard, a provider of disaster recovery services, in a contract case brought by Bank of Louisiana. Bank of Louisiana claimed that Sungard breached its contract to provide computer recovery equipment and services following Hurricane Katrina. Bank of Louisiana claimed seven-figure damages. Immediately prior to trial, the district court granted Sungard’s Motion for Summary Judgment, and dismissed Bank of Louisiana’s claims. The dismissal was affirmed on appeal, and Sungard was awarded attorney’s fees and costs of $89,919.35.
