In 2006, Mr. Glas served as lead trial counsel for a national trucking company in the personal injury action entitled Swain v. RLI Insurance Company, No. 05-0852, Section I, Judge Lance Africk, USDC, Eastern District, LA. During the (damages only) jury trial, Mr. Glas defended the insured against claims the accident caused a spinal cord injury and heart problems. During closing argument, plaintiff demanded $500,000, and the jury awarded only $50,000.
