Jonathan Walsh obtained an outstanding verdict in Civil District Court in a jury trial against Paul Mayeaux of Manard & Mayeaux. Liability was previously determined, & the three-day (damages-only) trial ended in October 2015. The client offered to settle for $100,000 prior to trial, and the plaintiff demanded $350,000 during closing argument. Judge Irons granted a directed verdict on future surgery, and the jury returned a verdict of only $78,000.
