Retail Defense - Wiltz v. Meraux
In 2011, Mr. Glas served as trial counsel for a national grocery chain in consolidated personal injury actions, including
Wiltz v. Meraux
, No. 630-138, Division J, 24th JDC, Jefferson Parish, LA. During the jury trial, Mr. Glas defended the grocery store against claims the store sold alcohol to minors who were involved in a car accident eight hours later that killed three and caused severe brain damage to a fourth. The jury found the grocery store did not sell alcohol to any minors, and awarded only 10% fault to the store for allowing minors to drink in their parking lot.
